Organization cable handling in our facility!

I recently got put in charge of organizing the cable handling in our facility. On paper, it sounded like a pretty straightforward job – just “tidy things up and make sure everything is running efficiently.” In reality, it’s turned into a never-ending maze of cords, reels, and tangled headaches. W e’ve got multiple departments relying on heavy-duty equipment, and a lot of it requires cables that get moved, wound, and rewound several times throughout the day. The result? Constant tangling, damaged cables, and a few near-miss safety hazards where someone almost tripped over loose wires. Add to that the downtime whenever we have to stop production just to untangle or replace something, and it’s really eating into our efficiency.
The weirdest part? At home, I’m the most obsessive person about cable management. I can’t even look at a messy gaming setup without wanting to clean it up. But scaling that mindset from a home office to an entire facility is way more complex than I expected.
